Cauliflower: Snowball X Organic Seed

Cauliflower: Snowball X Organic Seed

Name: Cauliflower: Snowball X

Latin Name: Brassica oleracea

Description: Cauliflower Snowball X is an heirloom cauliflower variety that has been popular for a long time. The heads tend to stay snow white due to the outer leaves curling around the head, protecting it from the sun. A good variety for early sowing, but also anytime in the growing season.

Seed Origin: Italy

Sowing: March to September

Harvesting: June to November

How To Grow Snowball X Cauliflower From Seed: Snowball X cauliflower seeds can be started indoors from March to April, by sowing them in seedling modules or small pots. Sow 2-3 seeds per pot/cell. When the seedlings establish, remove the weaker seedlings. Transplant to their final growing area when the risk of frost has passed.

Alternatively, sow directly outside from the end of April onwards. Snowball X cauliflower does best in partial shade.

Harvest from the bottom of the plant with a sharp knife when the heads are hard and fully formed.

Seed count is approximate.
