Name: Tomato: White Beauty

Latin Name: Solanum lycopersicum

Description: White Beauty is an early, indeterminate variety that produces white to light yellow tomatoes that weigh between 100g to 250g. They are noticeably ribbed, and  have a good sweet taste.

Growing Habit: Indeterminate

Seed Origin: France

Sowing: March to May

Harvesting: July to October

How To Grow White Beauty Tomatoes From Seed: Using a seedling module or small pots, plant 1 seed in each cell/pot. Cover lightly with compost, and keep damp. Germination should take 1 to 2 weeks when kept at room temperature.

After germination, when the seedlings get to about 8cm tall, they can be replanted into larger pots. Tomatoes need heat, and do best in greenhouses. If growing them outside, put them in a warm, sunny area of the garden. Do not put them uncovered outside until all frost risk has passed.

Tomato plants will need to be supported by a stake or something similar, to help the plant grow upwards and bear the fruit. Harvest the tomatoes as they ripen, this will encourage the plant to produce more fruit. When White Beauty tomatoes are ripe, the top of the tomato turns a light shade of pink.

Seed count is approximate.
